North Plains' TeleScope User Group Conference to Showcase Best Practices in Digital Asset Management

Company's Seventh Annual User Conference Sept. 8-9 in Toronto Will Feature Customer Success Stories, Detailed Examination of DAM's Strategic Benefits

TORONTO--(Marketwire - July 17, 2008) - North Plains Systems Corp., the leading provider of digital asset management (DAM) and video asset management (VAM) software and solutions, today announced details of its seventh annual TeleScope User Group (TUG) Conference on Sept. 8-9, 2008, in Toronto.

The two-day conference, held at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel, will provide a premier forum for customers, solution partners and industry experts to share tips and best practices about how DAM can provide value for their businesses.

The conference will feature detailed TeleScope™ customer success stories from a variety of industries such as media & entertainment, advertising, print & publishing, and education. These sessions will be presented by senior executives from some of the world's most distinguished companies and organizations, each describing how DAM technologies helped them solve pressing business issues such as gaining centralized control over production, creative and marketing content, improving workflow and processes, and facilitating effective collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.

Sessions delivered by industry visionaries and North Plains' own technology leaders will cover a variety of topics, such as getting the most out of your existing TeleScope implementation and extending TeleScope's functionality with complementary add-ons, and will offer a sneak peak at the 2009 product roadmap.

TUG conferences also provide an opportunity to network with senior North Plains executives, engineers and professional services managers, and to learn about important recent and upcoming North Plains product releases.

For the first time, the annual TUG conference is being held the same week as the Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from Sept. 4 through Sept. 17. In addition, attendees can relax and unwind on the evening of Sept. 8 with an elegant dining experience on board a luxurious boat cruise as they enjoy breathtaking views of the Toronto Islands and the spectacular Toronto skyline.

North Plains has secured rooms at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel at a preferred group rate. Space is limited, so customers are encouraged to register for the conference well in advance. Be sure to visit the TUG 2008 Website for the latest updates.
