North Plains to Host Sixth Annual Technology User Conference

Elite Conference Unites Businesses and Thought Leaders at the Forefront of Digital Asset Management Technology and Innovation

TORONTO--(Marketwire - September 10, 2007) - North Plains Systems Corp., the leading provider of digital asset management (DAM) software and solutions, today announced it is hosting the sixth annual TeleScope User Group (TUG) conference, on September 24th & 25th, 2007 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto. Ogilvy & Mather, Rodale, T3 and Gallaudet University are among the list of North Plains customers speaking at the TUG 2007 digital asset management conference.

This two-day conference will feature keynote presentations and breakout sessions delivered by customers, partners, industry thought leaders, and North Plains' own technology experts. Customer success stories will be presented by senior executives from a variety of industries, including media & entertainment, advertising, print and publishing, and education. Presented by North Plains' technology experts, breakout sessions will also be provided that will focus on North Plains' new solution offerings, the latest product updates, as well as the company's plans for the future.

Built on the TeleScope™ platform, North Plains' suite of products was designed to meet the diverse range of rich media needs from SMEs and design studios to the complex business challenges of global enterprises looking to create an end-to-end digital media supply chain that supports the creation, integration and repurposing of rich media and time-based information in mission-critical applications. Each year, North Plains' customers, partners, and industry visionaries converge to attend educational sessions centered around the digital asset management platform, TeleScope, and engage in interactive discussions with North Plains executives, engineers, and professional services managers. North Plains customers will be speaking on topics such as:

-- "Going Global" - From departmental solution to enterprise roll-out,
this session will help you understand the important elements that should be
considered when scaling your DAM solution globally.

-- "Achieving ROI" - Numbers are the universal language. When it comes to
proving the value of your DAM solution, it is important to take into
consideration all contributing factors. This session will explore a
framework for evaluating a company's ROI, as it relates to your DAM
    implementation.

-- "Archiving Non-Digital Assets" - Yes, the world has gone digital, but
important physical assets such photographs, tapes, and other images remain
prevalent today, and the sheer volume of these non-digital assets in some
cases is enough to fill several warehouses! Attendees will explore how
best to approach this challenge and discover techniques for properly
tracking, managing, and archiving these assets.

-- "Adding Video to the Asset Mix" - You've heard - and seen - a lot
about the importance of video in communication today, making it essential
to manage its creation, production and delivery. While the proliferation of
video across the enterprise continues at a rapid pace, proper management of
video files is still not well understood or put into practice. This session
will explore the challenges, and solutions associated with managing video
and the opportunities that now lie ahead when it's executed successfully.

-- "Repurposing Media Assets" - Everyone wants a deal, so why not squeeze
more value out of each and every one of the media assets that you've
purchased or painstakingly created. This session will cover the fine art of
    asset repurposing!

"TUG provides the ideal forum for customers, partners, and industry experts to meet and to discuss best practices as well as the latest advancements related to rich media," said Hassan Kotob, President & CEO of North Plains. "We continually hear that this is an important event for attendees to sharpen their technical skills and share their opinions. It is equally important for us to hear insights and feedback from customers that will guide us in our future product offerings."
