Northern Nevada APA Welcomes Trick Shot Champion Mike Massey

Billiards Hall-of-Famer to Host Clinics for Area Pool Enthusiasts

RENO, NV--(Marketwire - June 3, 2009) - The Northern Nevada APA welcomes five-time ESPN Trick Shot Champion, Mike Massey, for a series of pool exhibitions.

"We're thrilled to introduce our players to such a billiards legend," remarked Seth Allison, co-founder of the Northern Nevada APA Pool Leagues. "Mike Massey is a true entertainer and will challenge audiences to improve their skills and have fun doing it."

Mike Massey will host billiards clinics and exhibitions across the region that include his signature trick shots. These events are open to the public:

June 11:        Twisted Spoke (3198 N. Deer Run Road in Carson City)
                7pm

June 12:        JD's (1375 Newlands Drive in Fernley)
                7pm

June 13:        Sparky's (1450 E. Prater in Sparks)
                12 Noon

"I love to get people excited about playing pool. Whether they are beginners or professionals like me, there are always new skills to learn," commented Mike Massey, 16-Time World Trick Shot Champion. "The Northern Nevada APA has a great network of leagues that encourage lots of fun and competition. I hope my shows can get even more people out enjoying the great game of pool."

These events include questions and answers, autographs, and a few lucky APA members will have a chance to challenge Mike to a game. Mike Massey has trained celebrities like Christopher Walken and Billy Bob Thorton for roles in movies, so imagine how much the audience can learn!

The Northern Nevada APA is the largest pool league in the area with dozens of teams competing in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Fallon, and Fernley. Registrations for Summer Leagues can be made online or at the Mike Massey events.
