Most Canadians know that Fort McMurray is a bustling economic centre, providing jobs and countless opportunities for the region's population. What most Canadians don't know, however, is that the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is also a gateway to one of our nation's last unsettled, captivating landscapes. Between the strong sense of community and the opportunity to explore the great outdoors, Fort McMurray is an ideal destination for families and visitors of all stripes.

Just in time to help you plan your summer fun, Fort McMurray Tourism has launched their new website, showcasing everything the Wood Buffalo region has to offer. For Canada's fastest growing community, this website launch will offer residents and visitors alike a tool to explore the region from its serene rivers and rugged forests to its close knit communities.

Finding things to do in Fort McMurray is easier than taking a stroll through our national park, and we've designed the new website from the ground up to be the primary resource for tourism, local events, and all the hidden gems the Wood Buffalo region has to offer. Browse local restaurants, shopping, and nightlife, check out upcoming concerts, explore the birchwood trail system, and embrace the untamed beauty of the great wild north.
