Northland Utilities Sheds Light on Electricity Bills

YELLOWKNIFE, NORTHWEST TERRITORIES--(Marketwired - April 2, 2015) - Northland Utilities customers can now get a better understanding of their electricity bills thanks to the company's new online video, Shedding Light On Your Electricity Bill. The short, educational video, launched today on northlandutilities.com, explains the main components that make up a customer's bill.

"The electricity industry can be confusing so our goal with the video is to provide simple and clear information about the different electricity services charged on a bill," said Duane Morgan, Manager, Northland Utilities. "There is a lot of misinformation about electricity bill charges so it's important to us that our customers understand not only Northland Utilities' service charges, but all the other costs associated with delivering safe and reliable electricity to their homes every day."

Northland Utilities customer service staff receive calls about the charges on customer bills every month. The company developed this video as part of its ongoing efforts to provide useful information for customers so they know what they are paying for on a monthly basis and to help clarify how the electricity system works in the Northwest Territories.
