NorthStar Ford Group Canada Announces Fourth Annual Charity Poker Tournament to Raise Funds for Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation & Northern Lights Health Foundation

FORT MCMURRAY, AB--(Marketwired - Mar 3, 2015) - NorthStar Ford Group announced that registration is now open for the Fourth Annual NorthStar Ford Charity Poker Tournament, which will raise funds for Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation and Northern Lights Health Foundation. The tournament is scheduled for March 15, 2015 at Deerfoot Inn and Casino in Calgary.

Marty Giles, dealer principal at NorthStar Ford Group, said, "One of the core values of NorthStar Group is that we must support the communities that support us. Our staff and customers have used or know someone who has used the Alberta Children's Hospital or the Northern Lights Health Center whether they work and live in Fort McMurray, Cochrane, Fort McKay or Calgary. We need to do what we can to provide facilities or equipment to help the health care teams do an incredibly difficult job just a bit easier. NorthStar Ford has raised more than $280,000 in monetary funds with this event alone for charities throughout Alberta. The dealership has hosted the charity poker tournament the past three years and has donated Ford vehicles to raffle off in conjunction with this event.

The Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation provides resources for children's health needs, research and family-centred care. The Northern Lights Health Foundation works with the community to fund health care priorities that positively impact the lives of those who live and work in the region. All proceeds collected from this year's tournament will benefit the two foundations.

Registration costs $200 per person and gives people a chance to compete for the Poker Tournament payout which goes to the top 10 players. There are also both Silent and Live Auction for some more fabulous prizes.
