Northwest Pipe Company Announces $12M Order


PORTLAND, OR -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 26, 2007 -- Northwest Pipe Company (NASDAQ: NWPX) reported today that it received a verbal commitment to be pipe supplier to Western Summit Constructors, Inc. of Denver, Colorado for the City of Aurora, Colorado.

The Company will supply pipe and fittings ranging from 10-inch through 72-inch diameter valued at approximately $12 million for an engineered and custom fabricated piping system to be installed in the Utility Corridor and Yard Piping project. The pipe is expected to be manufactured in the Company's Denver, Colorado division, and the majority of the fabricated items will be completed in Monterrey, Mexico. Delivery scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2007.
