Northwest Pipe Company Announces $8M Order


PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - June 11, 2007) - Northwest Pipe Company (NASDAQ: NWPX) reported today that it was named as pipe supplier by Garney Construction Company of Kansas City, Missouri for a water transmission pipeline for Johnson County Water District.

The Company will supply approximately 28,000 feet of steel pipe valued at approximately $8 million for an engineered and custom fabricated piping system. The pipe is expected to be manufactured in the Company's Denver, Colorado division with delivery scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2007.

Northwest Pipe Company manufactures welded steel pipe in three business segments. Its Water Transmission Group is a leading supplier of large diameter, high-pressure steel pipe products that are used primarily for water infrastructure in North America.
