Northwest Pipe Company Announces Promotions


PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - July 18, 2007) - Northwest Pipe Company (NASDAQ: NWPX) announced three management promotions today. Winsor Jenkins was named Vice President, Human Resources; Gary Stone was named Vice President, Quality Assurance; and Greg Carrier was named Vice President, Purchasing.

Winsor Jenkins joined the Company in 1998 as Director of Human Resources. Since that time, he has been instrumental in bringing new safety programs to the Company and upgrading its training programs. Prior to joining Northwest Pipe, he worked primarily in the forest products industry, most recently for Pope & Talbot, Inc.

Gary Stone has been with Northwest Pipe for sixteen years. He has led the design and development of the Company's quality assurance systems and internationally recognized certifications. He previously worked for Harder Mechanical Contractors.

Greg Carrier started at Northwest Pipe in 1996 and ultimately was appointed Director of Materials in 2001. He has been responsible for managing major raw material purchases for all of the Company's locations and has recently expanded into additional purchasing activities. He has spent his entire career in manufacturing and purchasing capacities.
