Northwest Pipe Delays Fourth Quarter Earnings Release


PORTLAND, OR -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 21, 2007 -- Northwest Pipe Company (NASDAQ: NWPX) announced today that it will postpone its fourth quarter and fiscal year end 2006 earnings release and conference call previously scheduled for Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time (11:00 a.m. Eastern Time).

The Company continues to follow its policy of not reporting financial results until the audit is totally complete. The release and quarterly conference call will be rescheduled as soon as the audit is complete and financial results are available for public release. The Company expects to file its Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2006 on or before its March 16th due date and to release earnings at or prior to that time.

Northwest Pipe Company manufactures welded steel pipe and other products in three business segments. Its Water Transmission Group is a leading supplier of large diameter, high-pressure steel pipe products that are used primarily for water infrastructure in North America.
