Northwood Advisors Leads FirstSight Vision Services to Successful Business Intelligence Program

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 19, 2013) - Northwood Advisors, a business intelligence consulting and training company, has completed a business intelligence (BI) project for FirstSight Vision Services, a subsidiary of National Vision Inc that staffs optometrists in 150 Walmart and Sam's Club vision centers throughout California. The BI solution allows FirstSight to manage complex financial information as well as communication and collaboration among doctors working at various locations.

FirstSight initially approached Myron Weber, founder of Northwood Advisors, with the need for a flexible system that could grow and evolve alongside their expanding business to meet emerging needs. A primary goal was to eliminate the proliferation of individual Excel spreadsheets previously used to store its data.

The company continues to expand the benefits of the new BI solution. It recently created a Facility Review module to monitor quality and is establishing a process to allow the uploading of sales reports so doctors can view their individual progress.
