Novastar Resources Invited to Present at Upcoming Chicago Natural Resources Conference

WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - April 5, 2006) - Novastar Resources Ltd. (OTCBB:NVAS), has today announced that the Company will present at the Chicago Natural Resources Conference ("the Conference") to be held on April 28, 2006 in Chicago, Illinois. This conference will consist of numerous corporate presentations by various firms within the natural resources sector (i.e. Uranium, Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Gold, Silver, Copper). Specifically the conference will focus on exploration companies in the process of monetizing properties that contain valuable commodities. In its presentation, management of Novastar Resources will discuss the future utilization of Thorium in nuclear fuels to generate electricity, reduce nuclear waste, and eliminate weapons-grade plutonium.

Attending the Conference will be institutional investors, individual investors, and members of the media, with total attendance anticipated in the range of 400 to 600 people. The location of the Conference will be at the Crowne Plaza hotel, near O'Hare International Airport.
