DRAPER, UT--(Marketwire - Jul 6, 2011) - Megadyne Medical Products, a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of electrosurgical products, announced today that it has been awarded a five-year contract from Novation, the healthcare industry's leading supply contracting company. Novation provides savings to members and affiliates of VHA Inc., UHC, and Provista.
The Multi-Source agreement on Electrosurgical Generators, Smoke Evacuation Systems, Electrosurgical Pencils and Accessories, as well as a Sole-Source award to Megadyne for their Reusable Grounding Pads, is effective July 1, 2011.

ELECTRODES
Megadyne offers nearly 40 different non stick E-Z Clean® PTFE-coated tip configurations and sizes to meet the needs of electrosurgery procedures.
PENCILS
Pencil hand pieces direct energy to the active electrode and are available in button and rocker styles. Hand pieces can be purchased as disposable or reusable.
RETURN ELECTRODES
The innovative current limiting Mega Soft® is simply set on the operating room table, eliminating the small, disposable electrosurgical sticky pads that can damage the patient's skin. Over 35 million procedures with zero pad site burns.
MEGA POWER® ELECTROSURGICAL GENERATORS
Intuitive design and user-friendly interface allows surgical teams to hit the ground running with easy setup and operation. The Mega Power ESU also provides surgeons with the power to perform consistently and flawlessly, regardless of tissue type, for efficient and effective surgical performance.

Offers maximum smoke evacuation capabilities while maintaining a quiet OR Environment. This system features patented accessories (such as the Ultra Vac™ electrosurgical pencil) which are recognized for their outstanding ergonomics and ability to efficiently capture surgical smoke directly at the surgical site for maximum effectiveness.
