NovaWurks Awarded DARPA Phoenix Project Follow-On Contract

LOS ALAMITOS, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 7, 2014) - NovaWurks™ Inc., a provider of high technology space products and services, announced today that it has been awarded a $30.8 million Phoenix Project contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), with options for an additional $11.8 million that if exercised, would raise the total award to $42.6 million. The contract covers Phases II and III of the Phoenix Project for the development, delivery and operation of satlet solutions to repurpose valuable components from retired, non-working satellites in supersync orbit approximately 22,000 miles above the earth. The new contract is a follow on to the work NovaWurks performed during the competitive Phase I of the project that started in June of 2012.
