Novo Energies Corporation Announces the Appointment of Its Technical Team

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - October 13, 2009) - Novo Energies Corporation, Inc. (OTCBB: NVNC) ("Novo"), a public company traded on the Over the Counter Market (OTCBB) under the symbol "NVNC," announced today that it has appointed Mr. Claude Bilodeau, with over 30 years of experience with Shell Canada; Mr. Bernard Perreault, also with 30 years of experience in petrochemicals with previous positions at SNC-Lavalin and Ultramar; Mr. Normand Prévost, with over 25 years of experience working with Shell Canada, Ultramar and Honeywell; and Mr. Pierre F. Bonnier, with over 25 years of experience in mechanical engineering and project management, to its Technical Team.

Mr. Bilodeau joined GCM Consultants after working in the refining and petrochemical industries for 32 years. He worked for 30 years for Shell Canada, mainly at Montreal Shell Refinery, as a process engineer, technical manager, and manager of LP activities. His vast plant experience covers most of the units found in refineries, in the areas of process operation and optimization, plant commissioning and start-up, safety and quality. From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Bilodeau was the general manager of PTT PolyCanada. At GCM since June 2007, he was responsible for leading the process activities of various refinery projects while coaching junior, intermediate and senior process engineers. Mr. Bilodeau received his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from École Polytechnique of Montreal.

Mr. Perreault has 35 years' experience in design and operation engineering of crude refinery units and magnesium production facilities including equipment specification, operating procedures, performance follow-up and troubleshooting for process units, utility and offsite installations. As lead process engineer, he also worked on refinery storage and terminal projects. Mr. Perreault received his B.S. Chemical Engineering from École Polytechnique of Montreal.

Mr. Prévost is a professional engineer with over 25 years of experience with a strong expertise in process automation. He worked as a project engineer with the Honeywell group and then became director of automation for a consulting firm. He joined GCM Consultants in 1995 to lead the instrumentation and controls division. Mr. Prévost is known in the industry as an automation specialist and has conducted numerous major control projects. Mr. Prévost received his B.Eng. Electrical Engineering from Université de Sherbrooke.

Mr. Bonnier is a senior mechanical engineer who possesses a vast experience in the chemical, petrochemical and metallurgical sectors. His experience as a plant engineer and his analytical expertise make him an efficient solver of operational problems. Furthermore, he masters all aspects of mechanical engineering. For the last three years, he has supervised the technical aspects of the mechanical discipline for various industrial projects, mainly in the refining and petrochemical sectors. Mr. Bonnier received his B.Ing. Mechanical Engineering from École Polytechnique.
