Novo Nordisk A/S: Status regarding Novo Nordisk's holding of its own shares (30 June 2013)

BAGSVAERD, DENMARK--(Marketwired - Jul 1, 2013) - In continuation of the company's announcements dated 31 January 2013 and 3 May 2013 concerning planned share repurchase programmes, and pursuant to Section 204.25 of the New York Stock Exchange Listed Company Manual, this is to report that Novo Nordisk A/S (NYSE: NVO) and its wholly-owned affiliates on 30 June 2013 owned 14,976,660 of its own B shares of DKK 1, corresponding to a total nominal value of DKK 14,976,660 or 2.7% of the total share capital.

In the second quarter of 2013 a total of 5,400,500 B shares were repurchased, and 82,169 B shares were disposed of to employees in connection with employee incentive programmes.
