NOW Magazine Offers to Pay for Mayor Ford's Flight from Huntsville

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 29, 2011) - NOW magazine has offered to fly Rob Ford in for the Gay Pride Parade if that's what it takes to ensure our top municipal official doesn't miss this essential event.

An estimated 1.2 million people attend Pride. More than one quarter of those attending come from outside of the GTA. If they can make it to Toronto, why can't our own Mayor?

NOW Magazine is not alone in thinking what a crock – and what a shame that is. So, we're offering to pay for his flight from Huntsville to Toronto to attend this year's PRIDE festivities.

Michael Hollett, Editor / Publisher of NOW Magazine says, "NOW's found a way Ford won't have to miss out on the peameal and eggs breakfast Sunday morning in cottage land. The easiest way for Ford to do his civic duty is to take to the air. It's less than an hour lake to lake, and we've found charters ranging from $2,000 to $4,000 that will pull right up to his cottage. He can pile into the float plane in his swim trunks. Half the people at Pride are wearing Speedos or less, anyway. There's even water fights."

NOW Magazine is available every Thursday from over 2,300 free racks and boxes across the GTA, online at nowtoronto.com, on ipad and on your phone.
