TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 16, 2012) - Food Truck Eats is thrilled to announce NOW Magazine as the title sponsor of AwesTRUCK 2012 on Sunday, September 9, 2012. AwesTRUCK 2012 the inaugural awards ceremony that will recognize the culinary creativity of Southern Ontario street food's hottest talents, celebrate the revolutionary spirit of Canada's street food scene, and find out who has the most awesome food truck! Hosts Pay Chen and Michelle Jobin will hand out silverware in seven categories, including People's Choice, Best Menu Item, Best Graphics, and Best Concept, and will share the stage with some special guests, including James Cunningham, host of Food Network Canada's Eat St., who will also meet and greet VIP guests from 2 to 4 pm.

CFRB NEWSTALK 1010, the official broadcast partner of AwesTRUCK 2012, will be broadcasting live from the event at the Evergreen Brick Works' Holcim Gallery, along with the presence of their dedicated street team. NEWSTALK 1010 will be giving away 10 pairs of VIP passes on newstalk1010.com leading up to the event.
Wine Country Ontario, the official wine partner of AwesTRUCK 2012, will be specially pairing Ontario VQA wines with each of the eight food truck finalists' menus at the event, while the best of Ontario's spirit distillers and brewers, including Amsterdam, Spearhead, Beau's, Sawdust City, and Still Waters, and Grindhouse Coffee will be pouring for the crowds.
Dance to tunes provided by Louis Calabro and Matt Cully, the DJs behind the legendary Going Steady and Chronologic parties, and get ready for some giveaways and more than a few surprises! Works by local artists will also be on exhibit throughout the evening, and will be available for purchase.
Cooking alongside the food truck finalists will be 7 pop-up vendors, curated by Food Truck Eats:

As a thank you to its supporters, Food Truck Eats gave away 100 free general admission tickets and 20 free VIP passes for the event last week. Tickets are available for purchase online at http://awestruck.eventbrite.com. Prices include a $15 General Admission Ticket for admission after 4 pm, and a limited number of $60 VIP passes, which will include complimentary food and 3 drink tickets for the pre-event VIP hours.
