Now Playing at Clippz.com: Wash Your Own Videos

Site Traffic Races Past 300k Mobile Video Downloads/Month

PRINCETON, NJ--(Marketwire - December 11, 2007) - Clippz.com -- the world's first and only way to transfer device-optimized videos from the Internet to a mobile device -- today released a breakthrough new feature that formats and optimizes uploaded video clips on the fly for optimum playback on any mobile device.

Users can now easily transfer any video clip saved on their PC to the Clippz.com website and immediately have it "washed" and returned in a format that is optimized for their cell phone, PDA or media player.

The new "wash your own" service complements the existing 1,200+ videos pre-encoded on the Clippz.com site -- all available for free, off-carrier delivery by transferring to cell phone or media player directly from a PC or Mac, by a process commonly known as "sideloading."

Clippz.com's new service quickly converts video clips of up to 10 minutes run time and returns the content in device-optimized file formats without requiring software installation or the intermediation of a mobile network. Virtually all video-enabled cell phones are supported, along with the iPhone, iPod, Palm Treo and Windows PDAs.

"Delivering optimized mobile video at no charge to users is unique to Clippz.com and represents a revolutionary new way to deliver mobile content," said Philip John, founder and CEO of Clippz.com. "Now, we've upped the ante to become the first and only website where people can convert their own video clips in device-optimized playback formats."

Since its June debut, Clippz.com has seen a steady rise in site traffic, recently cresting 500,000 unique visitors a month (projecting to 6 million annually) with 300,000 of those visitors downloading videos -- an outstanding 60% conversion rate. To build on this early momentum, Clippz.com is launching an aggressive new marketing campaign to drive additional traffic to the site that will firmly establish Clippz.com as a leading provider of mobile video.

Clippz.com deploys proprietary, patent-pending technology to deliver the highest level of video quality currently available. Unlike other video download sites, Clippz.com enables users to get video clips that have been pre-converted into their specific mobile device's optimum file format. Once downloaded, video clips can be sideloaded to a mobile device one of three ways: via wireless connection using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi; by USB cable connection; or by writing directly to a memory card that can be inserted into the device. Clippz.com supports multiple download formats to more than 250 specific mobile video players including cell phones, PDAs and portable media devices.

The revolutionary result: mobile video quality that outperforms anything delivered over mobile networks, acquired without the data or media usage fees universally charged by mobile carriers.

Clippz.com offers a first-to-market solution that bridges the technology gap between highly specified mobile devices and low specification wireless networks used by wireless carriers. Up to now, the limiting factor for mobile video was the ability of the network to deliver data to a cell phone. With Clippz.com, there is no mobile network required, and the only limiting factor is the device's data capacity and resolution -- typically much higher than a mobile network supports.
