TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 6, 2012) - Toronto's favourite mayor David Miller returns with his live talk show, Occupy the Mic Tuesday, December 11th at Bloor Hot Docs Cinema -- a triple-threat evening of dazzling discussion, song and comedy. David, Sarah Harmer and his guests explore what the Mega-City can learn from the Mega Quarry.
David's galaxy of guests include singer/songwriter Sarah Harmer, comedian Graham Chittenden, photographer/filmmaker Jason van Bruggen and Soupstock 2012 organizer/supporter Blaine van Bruggen. NOW Editor/Publisher Michael Hollett will co-host the event.
"Rural communities have had some huge victories lately, giant corporations have been defeated by unstoppable community force. Toronto couldn't save a bike lane," says Hollett. "There must be some secrets to be shared."
This won't be your typical town hall discussion, the fast-paced evening will feature performances by Sarah Harmer and comedic relief from Brantford's own Graham Chittenden.
Doors open 8:45 p.m., event starts at 9:30 p.m.
Tickets are $15 +HST and available at NOW Magazine (189 Church Street) Monday to Friday, 9a.m. - 6p.m., online at nowtoronto.com/nowtalks or at the door on the evening of the event.
