NRC Awards Outstanding Achievers in Victoria

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - March 29, 2005) - National
Research Council President Dr. Pierre Coulombe today honoured the
exceptional achievements of NRC British Columbia staff - the fourth of
the annual NRC Outstanding Achievements Awards ceremonies for 2004.

NRC paid tribute to several extraordinary performers from Vancouver and
Victoria, including Mr. Scott Roberts who led the development of a
Canadian concept for next-generation optical telescopes. Other NRC staff
were acknowledged for their highly-consultative and bilingual efforts
regarding Official Language programming.

Dr. Coulombe recognized the excellence and creativity of these employees

This month, from St. John's to Victoria via Montreal, London and Ottawa,
NRC is recognizing the talent and innovation of its outstanding
achievers and their contributions to Canada and Canadians.
