nuBridges Partners With Indicium Solutions to Bring Integrated e-Invoicing and EDI Solutions to Mexico

Regulatory Acceptance of e-Invoicing Opens New Market Opportunity for Proven nuBridges Technology

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - January 16, 2008) - nuBridges, the Secure eBusiness authority, announced today that it has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Indicium Solutions to bring integrated electronic invoicing and electronic data exchange (EDI) solutions to companies in Mexico, where recent regulatory changes now permit the use of electronic invoicing.

To offer companies an exciting choice in e-invoicing, Indicium has introduced NetEDI, a new integrated solution that combines Indicium's e-factura e-invoicing solution with nuBridges' secure technology for EDI over the Internet. NetEDI installs locally at the customer site to handle electronic invoicing and EDI transactions and uses the Internet for network services, eliminating the need for third-party value-added networks (VANs) and associated transaction-based costs.

"Large buyers in Mexico are the 'hubs' and they have their e-commerce infrastructure in place," said Luis Felipe Sanchez, general manager of Indicium Solutions. "The real opportunity lies in the supply chain where vendors are hungry for a cost-effective, easily-implemented solution that will enable them to connect to those hubs to perform both EDI transactions and e-invoicing. NetEDI is a powerful offering for this market."

Companies in Mexico typically use third-party VANs to process purchase orders today. With the new law permitting e-invoicing, some VAN providers are planning to add support for e-invoicing. Because VAN cost is based on transaction volumes, the addition of e-invoicing transactions can make cost prohibitive for some organizations. To illustrate, an enterprise in the retail sector may have 30,000 suppliers and may receive thousands of invoices a day, while a pharmaceutical supplier may issue 20,000 invoices per day. For some VAN users, adding e-invoicing will triple or quadruple their cost.

In addition to cost reduction, NetEDI also fulfills the preference of enterprises in Mexico to work with one trusted vendor to handle all of their electronic commerce requirements. With NetEDI's electronic invoicing and EDI transaction capability, Indicium Solutions provides the secure technology to manage their customers' complete order-to-cash lifecycle of purchase order, shipment, delivery, invoicing and payment.

"We are proud to partner with nuBridges to bring their proven technology to supply chain enterprises in Mexico," said Sanchez. "nuBridges has provided the missing piece that enables us to offer a complete e-commerce platform that will enable our customers to do low-cost, secure EDI transactions over the Internet without the need for a third-party VAN. This is a very exciting market opportunity in Mexico."

"nuBridges is establishing a number of partnerships to take our EDI, managed file transfer, B2B gateway and encryption solutions into new geographic markets," said Kim Addington, chief marketing officer at nuBridges. "Indicium has relationships with important customers in the region such as Sony, Philips, Black & Decker, Rubbermaid, and Samsung. This new partner is uniquely qualified to introduce the nuBridges brand to Mexico, and our EDI technology is a natural fit with their e-invoicing solution."

More about Electronic Invoicing

Electronic invoicing enables buyers and sellers to eliminate the high costs, errors and operational challenges associated with manual, paper processes. It benefits the enterprise A/P department by automating standard transactions and enabling staff to focus on exception handling. This results in reducing operating costs, streamlining workflow to increase efficiency, increasing accuracy and providing automated visibility into A/P information. Electronic invoicing also offers the same automation for suppliers, enabling them to reduce operating costs, speed up cash collection and increase accuracy.
