Nucleus Research Report Finds Significant Improvement in Sales Productivity From SpringCM's Contract Management Application for Salesforce

SpringCM Contract Management Customers Report Increased Productivity of Sales and Legal Teams by at Least 20 Percent

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Sep 4, 2014) - SpringCM®, the leader in Content Cloud Services, today announced that Nucleus Research found SpringCM customers using SpringCM's contract management application with Salesforce reported significant business improvements. Nucleus found that more than half of SpringCM's customers were able to increase productivity of sales and legal teams by at least 20 percent. Those customers going from completely manual processes experienced even greater productivity increases. The full Nucleus report can be downloaded here.

Nucleus Research found that SpringCM's contract management application, with Salesforce integration, brings together the automation necessary for sales teams to quickly and accurately create contracts and related agreements. The combination also provides the document security necessary to prevent the use of incomplete, outdated, or unauthorized documents that can expose an organization to heightened risk.

For example, SpringCM customers shared the following with Nucleus:

  • "In the legal department, I save about 20 percent of my time each day by not having to engage in the review process to search for each change in every document for salespeople."
  • "At a moment's notice, I can find a document without poring over e-mails and chats, I just go into SpringCM and I can see the status immediately. I can provide that information to the sales team instantly."
  • "We had no controls in place for what the sales teams were sending out, so we had a lot of documents coming back incomplete, wasting a lot of time with back and forth to complete documents. Now they can't create and send a contract without filling in all the information the first time."

According to Nucleus, sales teams utilizing the SpringCM-Salesforce application have significantly reduced the amount of time it takes to generate contracts and the time to search for the latest version or status of a document from within Salesforce, as compared to using e-mail. Legal teams have accelerated the review and approval processes of contracts by leveraging SpringCM's ease in locking templates and configuring fillable fields; as a result, attorneys no longer spend extra time reviewing each line of a document to ensure that clauses and paragraphs have not been modified or removed.

"The contract process is an essential part of business, requiring a strong attention to detail and high level of structure to ensure that documents are complete, accurate, and signed," said Nina Sandy, Principal Analyst, Nucleus Research. "Nucleus found that customers utilizing SpringCM's Salesforce integration, workflow capabilities, and mobile applications were able to dramatically increase productivity by transforming a labor-intensive procedure prone to errors into a highly automated, secure process that reduced errors, sped the time to contract completion, and reduced organizational risk due to ill-formed or outdated documents."

"The Nucleus findings illustrate what our customers have been telling us -- that the combination of SpringCM and Salesforce is hard to beat, and quite frankly, hard to live without," said Ben Kiker, CMO, SpringCM. "As Nucleus notes, the contracts process is an essential part of any business. That's why we created a customer success team to help our customers model their business processes around contracts. We appreciate the positive comments our customers shared about the terrific guidance these Springers provide."
