Nuesoft Technologies Announces Agreement With 3M Health Information Systems

3M™ Edit Engine Brings Enhanced Coding and Compliance Functionality to NueMD and Nuesoft Xpress Products

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - June 12, 2007) - Nuesoft Technologies Inc. has signed an agreement with 3M Health Information Systems, Inc. to offer coding compliance editing capabilities and medical necessity validation as added functionality to its NueMD® and Nuesoft Xpress™ practice management software applications.

"Nuesoft prides itself on offering robust billing functionality that is easy to use and affordable," said Nuesoft Technologies President and CEO Massoud Alibakhsh. "Our agreement with 3M will take our software to the next level by enabling us to offer enhanced coding data. After an extensive search for a partner, we chose 3M Health Information Systems because of the rich knowledge base and resources its team brings to the table."

With the agreement, Nuesoft customers will gain access to the 3M™ Edit Engine, a modular software platform that enables users to access current and historic Medicare and Medicaid data sets, including Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) codes, Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes, International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9) codes, as well as national and local coverage determinations. 3M's industry-leading medical necessity content is created and maintained by a skilled team of healthcare policy and coding specialists. 3M's content combined with the Nuesoft practice management suite will help physician practices reduce claim denials, shorten A/R cycles, and enhance workflow efficiency.

"We are pleased to partner with Nuesoft Technologies," said Adel Dimian, PhD, MBA, 3M Health Information Systems Vice President, Medical Necessity and Compliance. "The integration of the 3M Edit Engine with the Nuesoft practice management suite will help medical practices achieve improved compliance, reduced claims denials, and cost savings through the reduction of time-consuming claims rework and resubmission."

The 3M Edit Engine will be available to Nuesoft customers in a product upgrade scheduled for later this summer.
