Nuvolt Corporation Inc. Announces an Extension for the Closing of the Private Placement of a Maximum of $1,775,000

LEVIS, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 2, 2009) - Mr. Jacques Dion, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nuvolt Corporation ("Nuvolt") (TSX VENTURE:NCO) announces that Nuvolt received TSX approbation to an extension for the closing of the private placement announced July 30, 2009. The closing and the support documents have to be completed before October 19, 2009.

On September 4, 2009, Nuvolt announced a first closing of 9 266 666 Units at a price of $0.15 per Unit, for proceeds of $1,390,000. Each Unit is comprised of one common share of Nuvolt and one warrant. Each warrant entitles the holder to acquire one common share of Nuvolt, at a price of $0.15 per share for a period of 36 months following the closing date. The Units are subject to a four month hold period under applicable securities laws. The proceeds of the Placement will be used for general corporate purposes and to complete and market Nuvolt's new SMARTSCAN technology.
