NVISION Eye Centers Welcomes San Francisco Bay Area LASIK Custom Vision Centers

Premier U.S. LASIK, Cataract and KAMRA Inlay Surgery Provider Continues West Coast Expansion

ALISO VIEJO, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 11, 2016) - NVISION Eye Centers, a premier U.S. provider of custom LASIK, cataract surgery and other vision correction procedures, is pleased to announce its partnership with Dr. George Simon and the LASIK Custom Vision Centers of Concord and Foster City, Calif. -- expanding its western U.S. footprint in the Bay Area. With 26 centers throughout California, Nevada, Oregon and Arizona, NVISION continues to meet the demand for its unparalleled state-of-the-art technologies and techniques that help restore vision to stunning clarity.

"The last two years in particular have been exciting for both breakthroughs in ophthalmology and NVISION's company growth," says NVISION Eye Centers' president James Pereyra. "More and more high-caliber organizations like LASIK Custom Vision Centers and its founder, Dr. Simon, are continuing to gravitate toward NVISION. This is not only a testament to our exceptional reputation but also a reflection of our commitment to bringing that quality of care to yet another significant population center."

A board certified ophthalmologist recognized in 15 states, Dr. Simon specializes in laser vision correction and refractive surgery. Recognized as a pioneer in the field, he was the first to perform refractive surgery in the Bay Area, as well as first in the state of California to perform radial keratotomy (RK) in 1980 to correct nearsightedness.

"Dr. Simon has always been on the leading edge of new technology and exceptional patient care, which is the hallmark of NVISION," says NVISION founder and medical director Dr. Tom Tooma. "In addition to being considered among the most experienced and accomplished LASIK surgeons in the Bay Area performing more than 85,000 LASIK and photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) procedures, he is also a highly skilled and experienced cataract surgeon who has personally performed over 10,000 procedures. We are fortunate to gain such a renowned and trusted partner."

A graduate of State University of New York (SUNY) in New York City, Dr. Simon completed his internship in San Francisco and his residency in ophthalmology at SUNY, and is an American Academy of Ophthalmology Fellow and Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology. Among his many professional accomplishments, he also received his JD degree from John F. Kennedy Law School in 1993 and is a member of the California State Bar Association.

Joining Dr. Simon in the Bay Area will be Dr. Jeff Machat, the world-renowned surgeon and visionary co-founder of TLC Eye Centers who recently joined the NVISION team to assist with growth in new markets that are located in major metropolitan centers of the U.S.

"NVISION doctors are among the most distinguished, experienced and educated surgeons in the laser vision correction industry," says Dr. Jeff Machat. "Together, we are on a mission to help the world see more clearly and we intend to achieve this one state at a time."
