nVoq Releases SayIt™ Call-Center Application

"Instant Agent Accelerator" Boosts Productivity 20%

BOULDER, CO--(Marketwire - January 27, 2010) - nVoq™, a developer of speech-based software for call centers, has announced the release of SayIt, a new speech-to-text application for agents.

SayIt lets agents speak call notes, e-mails and chats instead of typing them. It converts speech to text in real time with 98% accuracy, versus the 50 to 70% typing accuracy of the average call-center agent. The notes it returns are rich in detail, spelled correctly, and a credible record of customer calls.

Instead of typing at 20 to 30 words per minute, agents using SayIt talk at an average of 80 to 120 words a minute. As a result, average hold time (AHT), average call handling (ACH) and after-call work (ACW) -- key metrics for call centers -- all improve with SayIt. Overall productivity gains can be up to 20% or more.

The SayIt user interface is simple and easy to learn. Agents can build a personal voice profile in under 15 minutes and be working with SayIt at full speed in less than an hour. The quick learning curve and adoption rate let companies realize tangible benefits right out of the blocks.

SayIt is a server-based application. It can run on the customer's server or nVoq's with a hosted account. Since there's no desktop software to manage, deployment and maintenance are easy and cost-effective for IT.

The SayIt Administrator Console gives managers and supervisors a real-time view of calls, notes and agent performance. It also lets them manage accounts, groups, users, agent profiles and more with a clean, intuitive interface.

About nVoq -- nVoq was founded in 2000 by veteran technology entrepreneur Charles Corfield. The company's original name, SandCherry, was changed to nVoq in 2009.

Charles believed call centers could run more efficiently by making better use of the thing they used the most: speech. He put together a team of other software industry veterans, which developed ground-breaking enterprise software based on speech technology. The company's original products were the SandCherry Voice Platform and SandCherry Voice Tools, now called Vcore™ and Vtools™.

The next step was to transform the way agents work, from a traditional talk-and-type model to "just talk." Their initial product was V-Pad, which subsequently evolved into SayIt.

nVoq is an active advocate of Voice XML open standards. The company is an acknowledged contributor to the VoiceXML 3.0 specification now being developed in the W3C Voice Browser Working Group, and is a member of the committee developing the VoiceXML 2.1 Certification Suite.
