Expanded Offering Brings New Utility Cost Management Services to Multifamily Market

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - February 21, 2008) - NWP Services Corporation (NWP), the leading provider of proven financial transaction processing solutions to the multifamily housing industry, today announced that it has expanded its strategic relationship with The E Group, a division of FirstEnergy Solutions Corp. Through the terms of the agreement, NWP will offer new and expanded utility cost management services to multifamily housing owners and managers.

Specializing in providing energy management services to single and multi-site commercial, industrial and governmental enterprises, The E Group has been successfully providing its extensive knowledge and expertise in the electric and natural gas energy markets to NWP customers in the multifamily marketplace since 2003.

NWP will now offer a series of enhanced services to its multifamily customers as part of its award-winning utility management program known as UtilityPay Manager. Program features supported by The E Group include utility bill-auditing and annual rate & tariff auditing for water, sewer, natural gas, and electric accounts and expedited bill insert sorting and delivery. Additional services available through the program include energy budgeting, forecasting, rebates, conservation, and procurement services.

As a result of this agreement, NWP's UtilityPay Manager customers will benefit from expedited program implementation and processes. In addition, NWP can help customers identify new opportunities to manage utility costs and reduced risk, enabling them to optimize their energy spend and to obtain competitive utility rates for electricity and natural gas in deregulated markets.

"We are proud of our relationship with The E Group and very pleased with the success our customers are experiencing from the UtilityPay Manager program," said Michael Radice, president and CEO of NWP Services Corporation. "The technologies and services offered through the program create a total utility management solution that is strategic and actionable. NWP customers can improve financial performance while helping to minimize the total cost of ownership of their portfolio," Radice added.

"UtilityPay Manager is a great program and we are excited to be a part of its expansion," said Eileen Mikkelsen, Director of The E Group. "We feel the addition of these expanded services in the areas of auditing and billing will provide value-added and time saving enhancements to the customers of NWP."
