NXP Hosts "Why Security Matters" Panel at CES 2014

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 30, 2013) - NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ: NXPI), the global leader in solutions that enable secure connections for a smarter world, will host a happy hour panel entitled, "Why Security Matters" at the 2014 International CES in Las Vegas.

As the world becomes increasingly connected (people, smart phones, money, cars, homes, factories, etc.) cyber security grows as a societal concern. Governments and businesses spend $1 Trillion a year on security solutions and yet there is still much work to be done. With connected cars that communicate with one another, smart phones that make payments, and machines that advise of maintenance needs, points of access proliferate and the need for security and privacy protection increase. It is time to consider if and how your next generation product, one that will enter into a society even more connected than today, should be protected.
