O Bee Credit Union Wins "Top of the Hill" Honors for 2011 From Northwest Credit Union Association


TUMWATER, WA--(Marketwire - Sep 22, 2011) - The Northwest Credit Union Association bestowed another major award upon O Bee Credit Union during its annual convention September 20-22 at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma, WA. O Bee received the Association's "Top of the Hill" award, which recognizes credit unions that have excelled and increased their participation in major advocacy programs.

Among O Bee's accomplishments were: completion of Project Zip Code; meetings with local legislators and members of Congress; penning grassroots letters to legislators on credit union topics; attendance at Governmental Affairs Forum meetings, State GAC/CU Day at the Capitol, and the Hike-the-Hill event in DC; meeting with regulators, including participation on committees with them; and testifying before the state legislature on credit union issues. Bill Cheney, President and CEO, Credit Union National Association, presented the award to James Collins, President and CEO of O Bee Credit Union.
