O3SIS Next Generation Mobile Data Applications Showcased at 3GSM World Congress

Newly Launched Push Mail and Backup/Restore Applications Demonstrated by Hewlett-Packard, LogicaCMG, and mFormation

BARCELONA, SPAIN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 13, 2006 -- O3SIS Information Technology AG, a leading provider of personal mobile applications and Over-the-Air data synchronization (DS) technology to first tier mobile network operators, today announced that its mobile applications will be showcased by several strategic partners at 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona, Spain during February 13-16. Its newly launched Push Mail product is on display with LogicaCMG (Booth B11) and its new Backup and Restore application will be showcased by Hewlett-Packard (Booth B02b) and mFormation (Booth D01).

"O3SIS' Unified Mobile Applications products enable global mobile network operators and service providers to offer Over-the-Air data synchronization and mobile access to personal information seamlessly, with a best-in-class user experience," said Dirk Dörre, CEO at O3SIS. "The choice for O3SIS by leading partners such as HP, LogicaCMG, and mFormation validates O3SIS technology and our ability to provide our partners with robust and industry-proven products that extend personal mobility and allow mobile network operators to develop trusted and binding relationships with their end customers."

Push Mail and Backup and Restore are key components of the O3SIS' Unified Mobile Applications (UMA) platform, which also offers Over-the-Air real-time data synchronization across multiple user devices such as handsets, the Web, and the desktop, as well as a full-featured suite of personal mobile applications. The UMA platform is based on the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) standards, eliminating the need for costly, proprietary hardware and client software. UMA enables mobile network operators to roll-out multiple value-added services from a single high performance platform, significantly reducing total cost of ownership and time to market.

Backup and Restore automatically safeguards a mobile user's PIM (Personal Information Management) data including contacts, email, and calendar. If a user's phone is ever lost or stolen, the operator can instantly lock the phone, erase all data for added security, and restore all data to the user's new phone within minutes. All functions are performed directly over the air, sparing users the trouble of backing up data with cables or manually re-entering information.

Backup and Restore has been selected by Hewlett-Packard as part of its mobile device management solutions framework. It has also been integrated with mFormation's SERVICE MANAGER Suite, a modular mobile device management platform for mobile operators. HP and mFormation selected O3SIS' OMA DS 1.2-based data synchronization capabilities to provide operators with a technology solution that protects their customers from the implications of lost or stolen devices, while increasing customer loyalty and protecting the operator from lost revenue.

O3SIS' Push Mail offers an affordable, platform-independent email application that extends push mail beyond proprietary devices, PDAs, and smartphones to lower-cost mobile phones. With Push Mail, the mobile user can stay connected to their email no matter where they are, as messages are instantly delivered to the user's phone without any manual user actions or need for regular polling. O3SIS eliminates the client software installation and automates the configuration process, making it the first solution suited for the consumer market. LogicaCMG has selected O3SIS as part of its strategy for extending traditional Internet-based communication tools to the mobile environment. Its newly launched Push Mail marks the first push mail solution for mobile network operators, allowing operators to maintain direct control over service delivery, pricing structure and promotions, as well as retain a direct relationship with the customer.
