Oakland Park Animal Hospital Redesigns Website for Pet Owners

OAKLAND PARK, FL--(Marketwire - Sep 8, 2011) - Oakland Park Animal Hospital, which serves the Broward County pet community, has launched a new website, http://www.OaklandParkAnimalHospital.com. The redesigned website includes information on services at the veterinary hospital and after-hours emergency pet hospital, wellness tips for pet owners, and an extensive library on the latest veterinary health topics. Oakland Park Animal Hospital and the Animal Emergency Trauma Center offer 24/7 care to pets, including emergency operations and urgent care. Dr. Spencer Ratnoff founded the two practices in 1987. Services include routine wellness exams, spay and neuter, pet vaccinations, surgical operations, dental care, pet grooming, pet boarding and more.

After significant work and community feedback, Oakland Park Animal Hospital is excited to announce the launch of its new website, http://www.OaklandParkAnimalHospital.com. The redesigned website has been made easy to use and navigate, so pet owners and animal lovers can quickly and easily find important information on the care and well being of their pets.

The new website includes information on the animal vet clinic's services. These services include annual and semi-annual wellness check-ups, routine vaccinations, spay and neuter, dental care, grooming, boarding and surgical operations. Together with the Animal Emergency Trauma Center, the veterinary hospital is able to offer 24/7 emergency services and urgent care for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, exotic pets and pocket pets (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, mice and rats).

The veterinary hospital's website was designed to help educate and inform pet owners about compassionate animal care. "We often find that pet owners may have basic questions like, 'What is the best way to brush my dog's teeth?' or 'How do I know if my pet is sick?', but because it's after regular hours, they have no one to call," said Dr. Ratnoff. "These questions may not require a visit to the emergency pet hospital, but pet owners still deserve a prompt answer. That's the goal of this site; we want to provide information that pet owners can access any time of the day or night, and we're proud to offer it all to the public for free."

The website features extensive information on veterinary topics, ranging from "Choosing Your Pet" and "Bringing Your Pet Home" to tips on obedience training and a routine examination checklist. There is also a handy list checklist for recognizing signs of illness in different pets. "The better educated that pet owners are about the wellness needs of their companions, then longer and healthier their pets tend to live," added Dr. Ratnoff.

Interested pet owners and animal lovers can also sign up for the animal vet clinic's bi-weekly e-newsletter. The topics, which are customized to each recipient's interests, include general pet health, as well as specific information on rodents, reptiles, birds, horses, cats and dogs.

Website users who sign up for the e-newsletter will also gain access to the "Members Only" content on the website. This includes the animal vet clinic's "Pet Wellness Program" as well as the Pets4Kids section.

Interested pet owners can also visit the "New Patient Center" to learn more about the clinic, take a virtual tour of the emergency pet hospital and request an appointment online on the redesigned website, http://www.oaklandparkanimalhospital.com.
