Ocala, FL to Deliver Integrated Electronic Plan Submission and Review Services Using Avolve Software's ProjectDox®

City Committed to Streamlining Development Processes and Eliminating Red Tape

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwire - January 11, 2011) - Avolve Software Corporation, developers of ProjectDox® communication and collaboration software and the leading provider of ePlan solutions for government nationwide, announced today that the City of Ocala, FL will deploy the company's ProjectDox electronic plan submission, review and tracking system in a continuing effort to streamline key development and regulatory processes. The "go live" date for the City's electronic plan services is set for June, 2011.

The City of Ocala (pop. 54,000) is located an hour north of Orlando, and is known for its artesian springs and area thoroughbred horse farms. It is the seat of Marion County and adjacent to Ocala National Forest, which features over 600 natural lakes and is second in size only to Apalachicola National Forest in the panhandle. In 1995, Ocala was named an All-America City.

Ocala relies on a variety of information technologies to manage City operations and has deployed several online community services. Recently, the City has initiated key growth and planning initiatives such as "Accelerate Ocala" and "Ocala 2035," which lays out a long-term development and transportation program for the Ocala metropolitan area.

ProjectDox ePlan solutions allow jurisdictions like Ocala to offer web-based plan drawing and document submission, review and approval to citizens, architects, and developers. ProjectDox also enables Building, Planning, Zoning, Fire, Public Works and other government agencies to collaborate together for expedited permit approval, capital project management, and emergency response operations. Key benefits include reducing paper, printing costs, storage costs, deforestation, drive time, gasoline consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions -- while improving customer service and increased efficiency between multiple departments.

"Electronic plan submission, review and approval is a key service initiative that positively impacts the entire city and multiple departments -- supporting them in their efforts to move faster and farther into the future," said Ron Loback, President and CEO at Avolve. "We're proud and excited to support the City of Ocala in its laudable, intelligent community vision and partner with them in its execution."
