Oceanside Software: Defeating the Challenges as a Start-Up Company and Finding Success

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - Jun 23, 2011) - In July of 2009, Oceanside Software's Jason Brower decided he would leave an impact on the software industry and form his own development firm with a focus on restaurant point-of-sale.

Brower incorporated the company, filed three trademark applications that Oceanside now owns and has written over 20,000 lines of software while trying to build a brand in preparation for the product's release in 2011. Oceanside branded itself by holding an on-line contest with a $250 bounty for the best entry. The winning artist created all of Oceanside's marketing material and the website look and feel.

Despite the many challenges that start-up companies face, this now two-person company has attracted the attention of 3 separate franchise opportunities. Oceanside is certified with the Retail Service Providers Association, an active member of the National Restaurant Association, was featured in the RSPA new member spotlight as well as Food Service Daily News. Oceanside exhibited at the National Restaurant Association in Chicago and will be seen at booth #1940 at the TRA Southwest Food Service EXPO in Dallas Texas at the Dallas Convention Center on June 26th-28th.

The Release Candidate version of their product Oceanside POS is running at Marlowe's in Memphis just down the street from Graceland. Marlowe's is internationally known and has been featured on Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The owners Mike and Missy Coleman have stated on numerous occasions that, "We are very impressed with your level of customer service and we feel confident that you will assist us in any problems we may have as it relates to our technology."

Oceanside POS will be available as a full release July 23rd, 2011. Their product features cloud capabilities and uses the latest in cutting edge technology provided by Microsoft. They are partners with Dell, Tyco Electronics and Epson who all back their hardware by a 3-year warranty that Oceanside passes on to the restaurant owner.
