OCI Announces Results of Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary
General Meeting Approving the Company's Proposed Demerger


Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) announced the results of its
Annual and Extraordinary General Meetings convened earlier today.

At the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM), the Company's shareholders
unanimously approved all resolutions on the meeting's agenda pertaining
to the demerger of OCI's construction business from its fertilizer
business. OCI reported a record shareholder participation rate of
84.48% of the Company's total outstanding shares at the EGM.

Shareholders also approved all resolutions on the Annual General
Meeting's (AGM) agenda as detailed in the Proxy Statement dated 1 May
2011 and available for download on OCI's corporate website:
