OCTANe Elects David Perry as New Chairman of the Board

Partner at K&L Gates Will Lead OCTANe's Mission to Help Grow Technology Ecosystem in Orange County


ALISO VIEJO, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 23, 2015) - OCTANe, the Orange County startup accelerator dedicated to enabling innovative technology companies and creating jobs in Orange County by connecting people and ideas with resources and capital, today announced the appointment of David Perry as non-executive chairman of the board.

As chairman of the board, Mr. Perry will help guide OCTANe's vision to provide business leaders with a forum to make a lasting impact on the future of technology, life science, and sports technology industries in Orange County.

David Perry replaces James McCluney, who served as chairman in 2014. OCTANe thanks Mr. McCluney for his outstanding leadership in 2014. Mr. McCluney intends to remain active with OCTANe as an Executive Committee Board Member.

David is the administrative partner for the K&L Gates Orange County office and serves on the Firmwide Management Committee. Mr. Perry is also involved with organizations supporting the University of California, Irvine, where he is a member of its Chief Executive Roundtable as well as its School of Biological Sciences Dean's Leadership Council and its Office of Research External Advisory Board. He is a board member of the Kidney Cancer Association, the world's first international survivor and patient led charity (with members in more than 100 countries) dedicated specifically to the eradication of death and suffering from renal cancers. Mr. Perry serves on the board of the Festival of Arts of Laguna Beach that each summer presents one of the nation's oldest and most highly acclaimed juried fine art shows as well as the Pageant of the Masters.
