OCTOBER SERVICE CHANGES TO TTC ROUTES

Attention: Assignment Editor, City Editor, News Editor, Travel/Tourism Editor, Transportation Editor TORONTO ON--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 12, 2006) - Starting on Sunday, October 15, the TTC will be increasing services daily on the following six bus and streetcar routes to reduce waiting times:

23 DAWES (ACCESSIBLE)
A new northbound bus will run later on Saturday nights, leaving Main Street Station at 1:45 a.m. (early Sunday morning).

15 EVANS
A new earlier southbound and westbound bus will be running in the early morning from Monday to Friday, leaving Royal York Station at 6 a.m.

33 FOREST HILL
The north end of the route will be changed, and buses will now loop using Eglinton Avenue, Chaplin Crescent, Roselawn Avenue, Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue. Buses will run every 30 minutes throughout the day.

504 KING
Extra streetcar service will run at night from Monday to Friday, as well as in the evenings on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

102 MARKHAM RD
Extra buses will be added between the morning and afternoon rush hours, and during the afternoon rush hour from Monday to Friday. Extra service will also run in the afternoons on Sundays and holidays.

73 ROYAL YORK
A new earlier northbound bus will run in the early morning from Monday to Friday.
