Octus Secures Stimulus-Backed Energy Efficiency Project Contracts

DAVIS, CA--(Marketwire - October 5, 2010) -  Octus, Inc. (OTCBB: OCTI), a leading smart energy efficiency company, today announced it has won and is implementing multiple energy-efficient lighting retrofit projects leveraging Roseville Electric's Small Business Lighting Program. In July, Octus was selected as one of four approved energy efficiency contractors as part of Roseville Electric's $1,073,700 in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) funds for energy efficiency programs granted to the City of Roseville.

"These projects showcase how and why energy efficiency improvements are a sage investment for commercial building owners, managers and tenants," said Octus CEO Chris Soderquist. "With the current availability of generous utility company incentives, the projects have simple payback periods of less than one year and realize returns in the high double digits. The double benefit of reducing operating expenses and increasing net operating income also boosts property asset values. We therefore believe there has never been a better time to invest in energy efficiency."
