Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Session Discusses the Benefits of Deploying a SAN-less, All Flash, Fault Tolerant Cluster in a VMware Environment Presented by Dr. Allon Cohen

(NASDAQ: OCZ), a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) for computing devices and systems, today announced that Dr. Allon Cohen, Vice President of Software and Solutions, will present a Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery session at the Silicon Valley VMUG Conference on the benefits of deploying a SAN-less, all flash-based fault tolerant cluster in a VMware environment.

Dr. Cohen's presentation entitled, "Going All-Flash, SAN-less, and Staying Fault Tolerant" is scheduled on May 1, 2013, 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm, Meeting Room 210, during the Silicon Valley VMUG Conference, Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.

The presentation discusses the benefits of using server-based SSD flash in conjunction with advanced virtualization software to accelerate Virtual Machine (VM) access to storage in VMware® environments. This approach is becoming more common as supported by the widespread deployment of on-host flash in virtualized data centers. Utilizing PCIe flash-based solutions, low latency storage is closer than ever to the host's CPU, providing the random access advantages of NAND flash and a perfect option to address the hypervisor I/O 'Blender Effect.'
