Odyssey Resources Limited: Tavsan Gold Property Results Shine

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 28, 2005) - Avrom E. Howard, President and CEO of Odyssey Resources Limited (TSX VENTURE:ODX) is pleased to report the results from cyanide soluble analyses at the Company's Tavsan epithermal gold project located in western Turkey. A total of 43 samples of coarse reject from drill core and 47 samples of pulp, mostly from the same drill core samples were sent for cyanide soluble assay. The average gold recovery by this method in the case of the coarse reject samples in just 1 hour was 55.6% and that for the pulp samples was 91.6%.

These results indicate that cyanide remains a potentially viable method for the recovery of gold at Tavsan. Optimization of the gold recoveries, costs, and mining methods at Tavsan is the focus of ongoing studies whose results will be released in a timely manner.

These results are considered by management to be very positive, given that in an actual mining situation leach times are much longer. A table containing all analytical results may be found at the Company's website: http://www.odysseyresources.com or by clicking http://www.odysseyresources.com/tavsanCSA.pdf. As a next step to more fully duplicate the real-mine leach process, column tests on mini-bulk samples will be undertaken. Along with results released by the Company on May 19, 2005 reporting significant gold mineralization in all of the surface-exposed satellite gold zones on the Tavsan property, Company management is confident in pursuing the steps necessary to advance this project through the grid drilling and other measures necessary prior to completing an Independent Resource Estimate and subsequent Prefeasibility Study.

Additionally, Mr. Howard would like to address the matter of the recent high volume of trading in shares of Odyssey, by stating that its projects remain active and in good standing, with Odyssey geologists active in both Turkey and Morocco on the Company's various projects. Odyssey management remains confident in the virtue and potential of its projects and of its personnel in advancing them.
