NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 17, 2007 -- Xandros, Inc., the leading provider of intuitive end-to-end Linux solutions and cross-platform management tools, today announced that Office Depot (NYSE: ODP), a leading global provider of office products and services, will deliver Xandros' line of business and consumer Linux desktop operating systems to the market. Office Depot will make Xandros' Windows-compatible desktop products available in all 1000+ Office Depot stores throughout the United States and Canada, as well as through its OfficeDepot.com and TechDepot.com web sites.

"Office Depot provides office products and services to customers in more countries than any other company. Being part of their offering is a big step for Xandros toward gaining ground in the mainstream market, especially among millions of small- to medium-size business users," said Andreas Typaldos, Xandros CEO. "Our strong focus on the end-user experience makes us a perfect fit for mainstream customers looking for a comparable experience to Windows at a fraction of the cost, and without the need for hardware upgrades and other accompanying headaches. Now that Windows Vista is out, many home- and small-office business customers are asking what they should do with their machines that fail to meet the Vista upgrade requirements, and we deliver the answer."

The Xandros Desktop operating systems featured at Office Depot provide third-generation mobile telecommunications support for laptop users on the go, and offer a secure, stable alternative to costly Windows upgrades. Seamless integration into existing Windows-centric networks is provided through support of domain authentication, logon scripts, and group policy profiles. Xandros provides customers with exceptional access to printers, files and other resources in Windows network environments, including seamless Microsoft Exchange connectivity and the ability to write to the NTFS file system used in Windows XP and Vista. Other business-class features include dual-core, SMP, and hyper-threading support, and a dual-boot Linux/Windows setup option for existing Windows laptops and desktops.
