OFL RALLY AT QUEEN'S PARK JUNE 3 at 1:00 pm

PUBLIC DOLLARS FOR PUBLIC SERVICES - NOT PROFITS Attention: Assignment Editor, City Editor, Media Editor, News Editor, Government/Political Affairs Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 2, 2006) - - "Join us in saying no to privatization and yes to universal, high quality public services - not just for those who can afford it, but for everyone in Ontario." OFL president Wayne Samuelson and Ontario unions want the McGuinty government to stop the sell off of public services everyone wants and needs.

"Privatizing public services is not good for working families," Samuelson said. "We need to stop this government from spending our public dollars to increase profit margins for private operators."

Saturday's rally at Queen's Park will bring together union members and community activists who want Ontario's public services to remain in public hands.

Leaders of many major unions are scheduled to speak at the rally as well as the OFL's main coalition partners: The Ontario Health Coalition, Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care and the Canadian Federation of Students.

"Join us at Queen's Park and tell the McGuinty government to stop the private deals and keep public services - public."
