Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide Joins Forces With the Cancer Support Community to Launch #4Chords4Cancer

PARSIPPANY, NJ--(Marketwired - Jan 19, 2016) -  Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide (www.ogilvychww.com), the health behavior change specialists of Ogilvy & Mather (www.ogilvy.com), and a WPP company (NASDAQ: WPPGY) (www.wpp.com), today announced its partnership with the Cancer Support Community (CSC) and healtheo360 to launch the #4Chords4Cancer initiative, a campaign created to ensure all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.

Through the #4Chords4Cancer campaign, the CSC will send a Martin D-28 acoustic guitar, courtesy of Martin Guitar on a tour around the United States to be played, signed, and photographed with some of the top artists in the music industry including Sara Bareilles, Laura Benanti, Jay Jay French, cast members from ABC's hit show Nashville, and cast members from Andrew Lloyd Webber's School of Rock.

Instrumental to the kickoff to this new initiative, the Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide network assisted in the creative conception, artist coordination, and promotional execution of the campaign. The guitar will then be auctioned off at the CSC's annual Spring Celebration gala in New York City. Funds raised will help increase cancer awareness and support the nonprofit's many programs for individuals and families impacted by the disease.

The CSC is an international nonprofit organization that provides free support and resources to patients, caregivers, and their families affected by cancer. Last year, the CSC delivered nearly $46 million in free services to patients and families.

Michael Zilligen, president of both Ogilvy CommonHealth Payer Marketing and Ogilvy Healthworld Payer Marketing, who spearheaded the initiative and Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide network's involvement, has been a hands-on member of the CSC for two years. He was appointed to the nonprofit's board of directors in 2014.

"It's an honor and a pleasure to dedicate our time and resources to a cause that can make such a large and long-lasting impression on members of the cancer community" said Michael Zilligen. "The #4Chords4Cancer initiative will provide the means to enhance the free educational, financial, and emotional support that the CSC offers to millions around the world."
