Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide Launches NJ Chapter of Ogilvy & Mather Women's Leadership Professional Network


PARSIPPANY, NJ--(Marketwired - Mar 24, 2016) - Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide (www.ogilvychww.com), the health behavior change specialists of Ogilvy & Mather (www.ogilvy.com), and a WPP company (NASDAQ: WPPGY) (www.wpp.com), announced the launch of the NJ-division of the Ogilvy & Mather Women's Leadership Professional Network (WLPN) at the "Sip. Share. Succeed." kick-off event, held last night at OCHWW's headquarters Parsippany.

A faction of the Ogilvy Professional Networks (OPN), WLPN's mission is to empower and salute women within Ogilvy by fostering a strong sense of community, providing access to inspiring leaders and helping to facilitate each other's professional success. The OPN are affinity-based forums enabling members to actively participate and contribute in supporting the Ogilvy Diversity & Inclusion strategy while shaping Ogilvy's culture. Formed by employees with common interests, these groups are open to all personnel and provide a supportive environment for the individual's professional business development.

The "Sip. Share. Succeed." gathering offered attendees, comprising both women and men alike, an informal, educational, and festive evening including a presentation about the WLPN and the variety of opportunities offered to its members. Inspired by the success of the NY branch of the WLPN, an executive board and leadership team, including executive sponsor, OCHWW's chairman & CEO, Matt Giegerich, organized the roll out of the NJ WLPN. The kick-off meeting focused on the importance of harnessing the power of women and fostering an environment and community of diverse backgrounds and thinking -- where professionals can connect, share, learn and network.

In May 2007, led by Donna Pedro, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Ogilvy NY employees formed the Ogilvy Diversity Council, now called the Ogilvy Diversity & Inclusion Initiative.
