O'Hara Engages Lazard as Financial Advisor

PUNTA PACIFICA, PANAMA--(Marketwired - May 27, 2015) - O'Hara Administration Co., S.A. ("O'Hara") announced today that it and certain other long-term shareholders of Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. ("Pacific Rubiales") that are acting jointly or in concert with O'Hara have retained Lazard Asesores Financieros, S.A. as their financial advisor to assist them in connection with the proposed acquisition of the outstanding common shares of Pacific Rubiales by ALFA, S.A.B. de C.V. and Harbour Energy Ltd.

O'Hara and its joint actors, as long-term shareholders of Pacific Rubiales, continue to believe that the proposed acquisition significantly undervalues Pacific Rubiales and is not in the best interest of Pacific Rubiales shareholders. O'Hara and its joint actors will work with Lazard and certain of its financial advisory affiliates to review all options available to them relating to the proposed acquisition, including initiating a program to reach out to all stakeholders that will be affected by the proposed acquisition or to partner up with strategic players and/or with other shareholders in order to present an alternative to enhance shareholder value.
