Ohio National University to Provide Online Programs to Students Around the World

COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwired - February 09, 2015) - Franklin University, a leading educator of working adults, is proud to announce plans to launch Ohio National University (Ohio National), a university focused primarily on providing online education to students in international markets.

"Students in countries around the world seeking an American degree often face the obstacle of cost and access," said Dr. David Decker, President. "Ohio National University enables these students to earn an accredited American degree, in a manner that fits their schedule and budget."

Through Ohio National, students can earn an accredited undergraduate degree for $133 per credit hour or $198 per graduate credit hour. Competitive tuition along with students' ability to transfer previously earned credit allow Ohio National to provide access to a degree valued by employers around the world for roughly one-quarter the cost of similar online programs.

With classes beginning in March, Ohio National will offer accelerated academic tracks and friendly credit-transfer policies that streamline the path to earning a degree. Proven curriculum and programs are developed and taught by respected faculty.

Students will be able to select from the following degree options:

  • Bachelor of Science with a major in Business Administration offering four tracks: (i.e., General Business, Hospitality & Tourism Management, Human Resources Management, and Marketing)
  • Bachelor of Science - Information Technology
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Courses are eight weeks in length with six terms starting each year in approximately: January, March, May, July, September and November.

"Ohio National University builds upon the high academic standards and expertise Franklin University developed as an early adopter of online learning in the United States, said Dr. Godfrey Mendes, Senior VP of Global Programs and Strategic Initiatives. "By offering the flexibility of online learning in an accelerated pace, learners from around the world now have access to an American degree."

The University has future plans to offer programs in other languages.
