Olapic Makes Instagram and Twitter Photos Shoppable on Pinterest

From Pins to Purchase, Brands Can Now Leverage Consumer Generated Content on Pinterest to Drive Sales

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - December 15, 2014) - Olapic, the visual commerce and marketing platform for collecting, curating and showcasing customer photos, today announced a new service offering that allows brands to better use consumer generated photos on Pinterest to help drive sales.

Olapic's new service allows brands to further extend the use of consumer content collected from Instagram and Twitter onto Pinterest. From within the Olapic platform, customer photos are collected and matched to product identifiers (such as SKUs), and then linked and published to corresponding product detail pages. When pinned, these tagged photos will return shoppers back to the specific product page to help drive sales. Olapic is the first to link customer photos with product SKUs and product detail pages -- and do it at scale.

"Consumers today live in an omni-channel world in which they value authenticity over stylized stock imagery, and seek new ways to engage with brands across social channels," said Pau Sabria, CEO and Co-Founder of Olapic. "Pinterest is a proven environment where consumers go for style inspiration and to discover products; the concept of extending user-generated content onto Pinterest and making it shoppable is a powerful new reality for brands."

Additionally, brands can use Olapic's proprietary Photorank™ algorithm to select top performing customer photos to associate with each pin. Photorank™ analyzes 46 different attributes of a photo and ranks it by the predicted conversion rate.
