The Older Worker Now Has an Advocate in HR50 Who Will Lead the Charge Against Negative Stereotyping and Ageism

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 24, 2010) - HR50 Inc. announces its launch of a new and specialized Canadian employment, career and human resource centre for the 50plus age worker and employers who recruit and retain them. By accessing employers can post for free their job opportunities for any position in Canada and the 50plus age job seeker can register and post their resume. In addition HR50 provides fee based services including Career Coaching, HR services and solutions for employers, and workshops and webinars.

Barry Witkin, founder and CEO of HR50 Inc., an expert in understanding the issues and barriers facing the older worker says his mission is to create employment opportunities, eliminate negative stereotyping, and end ageism. He intends to mobilize older workers across Canada to put pressure on the Federal government to initiate the recommendations of the "Expert Panel on Older Workers" (appointed by the Federal Government,) in their July 2008 report about what the government should do to assist the older worker. The Panels first and most important recommendation was to create an "Awareness Campaign" that will dispel the false perceptions of this age group and promote their true value by outlining the advantages and benefits to employers who should recruit and retain them.
