OleumTech Corp. Releases WIO(R) Wireless Flow Totalizer Transmitter

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - Dec 1, 2011) - OleumTech Corporation, a leading manufacturer of industrial wireless automation systems, today announced its release of the Wireless Flow Totalizer Transmitter, which is part of the WIO® Wireless System. The self-contained, battery operated Flow Totalizer Transmitter breaks new ground by providing wireless flow monitoring capabilities to any industrial process condition. The new Flow Totalizer provides maximum flexibility by allowing seamless integration with third-party flow turbine meters or sensors. This flexibility makes it extremely convenient for retro-fitting into existing infrastructures with flow meters already in place for enabling wireless connectivity.

The Flow Totalizer Transmitter provides precise flow measurement (±0.01% of reading) and can capture up to 10,000 turbine cycles per second (1 Hz to 10 KHz). The Flow Totalizer is the first of its kind within the WIO® family of products to have a built-in LCD screen. The LCD provides Current Flow Rate, Today's Totals, Yesterday's Totals, Battery Voltage, and RF Status data for quick on-site reading.

The Wireless Flow Totalizer Transmitter is a self-contained device that includes antenna, RF radio module, battery, LCD screen, and turbine pickup coil that can be operated in remote and hazardous locations. This product mounts directly to a turbine meter (1" NPT female connection). The Wireless Flow Totalizer is offered in both 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz versions. The wireless range of this device is up to 5000 ft. and features long battery life of up to ten years. Like all other WIO Transmitters, the Flow Totalizer wirelessly connects to a WIO Wireless Gateway that provides Modbus connectivity to SCADA systems.
