Olinger Distributing Named Outstanding Corporate Philanthropist

INDIANAPOLIS, IN--(Marketwire - November 18, 2008) - Olinger Distributing has been named the Indiana Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Outstanding Corporate Philanthropist for 2008.

The AFP recognizes individuals and organizations whose achievements have made an impact on society, nationally and internationally.

Olinger Distributing was nominated on behalf of the Indianapolis Zoo to receive this prestigious award. Olinger has donated wine and spirits for its Zoobilation event for over ten years, allowing the Zoo to raise over $5 million. Olinger's participation with the Indianapolis Zoo doesn't stop with Zoobilation. In 2008, it also donated highly allocated fine wines to support the Zoo's annual Elegant Vintages International Wine Auction, provided wine and spirits for the Indianapolis Prize Gala, and has also offered resources for many other events to maximize support of the Zoo's conservation projects.

"We really take pride in giving back to our community, but more importantly, in giving our employees the opportunity to give back," said Olinger President Jim Oliver. "At Olinger, we strive to 'set the bar' in the way we present ourselves to all of our stakeholders."

Olinger has a deep and abiding belief in serving its community. As philanthropy and community involvement are top priorities for Olinger, its employees volunteer for many non-profit organizations throughout Indiana and Kentucky.
